The first round of Office InterActors courses was the piloting round implemented in autumn 2009 with participants from five countries:

The five countries benefitted from the support of the internal evaluators who provided several materials for the implementation of the courses. The Internal Evaluator of the project also participated in the courses along the students guiding them and tutors and collecting feedback forms from the project team, the tutors and the students involved in the first round of courses.

The five teams in the Office InterActors course worked using the Moodle platform and communicating using the online communication mechanisms on the platform. Participants have also used Skype as an international communication tool which motivated them. Feedback on this convinced the partnership that Skype sessions should be included in the second round of courses to give participants the opportunity to actually speak to the people they have are collaborating online with.

Participants in the first Office InterActors piloting course cover three main areas:

1. Students in Economy and Business Administration - Romanian, Lithuanian and Spanish students

2. Unemployed people attending re-qualification courses in Greta du Velay - French participants

3. Municipality workers - Bulgarian team working in Sofia townhall

The differences among all these groups were smothened by online collaboration and by the tasks in the scenario the course was based on. Negociation and the need to find a common answer to agree upon together motivated all participating teams to do their best with work on the online platform and also try and understand the cultural differences between the groups, which were naturally reflected into the outputs of the course.

The SECOND ROUND of Office InterActors courses will be in spring 2010.
