This week we are going to continue working in the groups we have been working in the week before.
Read and work on the task your groups has been appointed.

STEP B - task 1

Check your mail in the Office InterActors Cafe.
Reply to any messages you have received.
Read the job descriptions.
Write a short message to your colleagues in another national group

STEP B - task 2

The Sechurian government is concerned about the lack of a health and safety culture in the workplace
. You want to cover this issue in your grant application.
•    In your national departmental groups, using the Internet or other sources, do some general research into
 rules and regulations.
•    Make up a list of 10 regulations concerning health and safety, in order of importance.

STEP B - task 3

Write a report / proposal of about 250 words to the future director, putting forward your suggested
regulations with appropriate explanations.

There should be a proof reader in each team with special responsibility for checking spelling and grammar.
Check with your tutor to see if the role of the proof reader will be undertaken by one of your colleagues or
 by the tutor.

Include:
- the ideas underpinned by your suggested regulations
- arguments to support these ideas
- concrete positive results that should derive from the implementation of these regulations

Steps:
- prepare a schetch for the report including the main ideas
- check with your teacher to see if the schetch needs any improvements
- develop the ideas from the schetch to write the first draft of the report
- check the first draft with your teacher and make the necessary changes (if applicable)
- finish the final draft and hand it to the proof reader
- observe the changes done by the proof reader and make take personal notes if you consider necessary
- upload the final draft of the group report

STEP B - task 4

Situation You are hopeful of getting a grant, but you know that setting up a company is only the first step.
You then need to attract and retain the best people in order to be competitive.

In your national departmental groups, using the Internet or other sources, do some general research into
 recruitment strategies and organisational culture.
Make up a list of 10 corporate guidelines, in order of importance, for attracting and retaining staff.

THIS TASK IS OPTIONAL, DEPENDING ON THE TIME AVAILABLE FOR THE

DIFFERENT GROUPS!

In your national groups, write a memo to all staff with your suggested guidelines.
