The entire Office InterActors methodology has been built around the idea of a dual level of participation. As beneficiary groups can never be found in an homogeneous level of competences without prior selection, the project team suggested to address both levels of competence, basic and advanced, thus catering for the entire range of target audience.
Participants in the courses are selected on the basis of the foreign language competences but also on ICT abilities and, of course, field specific knowledge and skills. The project team has developed the entire Office InterActors scenario for the first round of courses based on this dual structure building opportunities for personal and professional development for both the basic and the advanced group. The scenario is structured in three sections:
1. Orientation meeting
2. Business consultants
3. Business entrepreneurs
The first part, Orientation meeting, introduces participants to the course general objectives and learning outcomes. Also, participants have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Moodle platform and the online collaboration tools on it. Students are encouragd to personalize their blogs on the platform and initiate communication with the international teams with the help of the Office InterActors Cafe, used for informal discussions. All students suddently become citizens in the "imaginary country of Sechuria" and from here on their story separates into two different but connected stories.
Business consultants(basic level) - In this part of the scenario participants are employees of a consultancy company providing guidance for newly established companies and supporting their development. Their tasks include providing a description of the land of Sechuria, establishing common international do's and dont's for business sector, developing handbooks and brochures with international basic vocabulary in all the project languages
Business Entrepreneurs (advanced level) - In this part of the scenario participants are starting a new production company and their tasks include market analysis, negotiation on the line of production, designing campaigns for the promotion of the companies products.
All the above mentioned tasks include international negotiation and agreement on both national and international level.
The two lines of the scenario have a common part in which business consultants and business entrepreneurs have the chancce to look at each other's work and provide feedback.
