Office InterActors tutor trainings – with hands-on activities and simulations to illustrate students’ experience within the courses. At the same time trainings have been structured as piloting sessions and further teaching material development to ensure a better customisation of the courses to the learners. The syllabus for the trainings includes aspects such as: Office InterActors tutor and student profile, attitudes and motivation, positive approach to team work and problem solving, coaching and mentoring skills, Web 2.0 technologies.
The trainees became tutors involved in the development of the teaching material, especially the scenario. Trainee tutors typically already have an idea of who their students would be, which enhances addressability and potential impact.
The first Office InterActors training was implemented in February 2009, in Iasi, Romania, with members of the project team but also with future beneficiaries in the project. The training aimed to develop skills and abilities to work with Office InterActors model and the online available tools on the moodle platform.
The second Office InterActors training is to be delivered at the Integrated Training and International Conference in Iasi, Romania where national and international participants will participate in interactive sessions simulating work in an Office InterActors course.
Other sessions of training can be arranged at the request of beneficiaries. For this please contact the partnership team at www.officeinteractors.eu or at lucia.petrescu@euroed.ro.
Office InterActors courses – Office InterActors can best be described as a strategy for building learning and awareness of business culture and related ICT and language skills. The focus of these courses is not on teaching but on creating collaborative learning opportunities. This vision for learning is put into practice at several levels (type of input, instructions, evaluation, feedback, classroom management etc.). So far, we have organized one round of courses in Autumn 2009 (30 contact hours, 5 countries), and we are preparing for another round in Spring 2010.
The course addresses two levels of entry competence (“basic” and “advanced”). Different roles and tasks in the scenario have different prerequisites, since not all learners have the same skills, levels or interests. The structure created guides each of the two level learners to work on their share of the tasks and, at the same time, offers opportunities for them to cooperate. Thus, students have the chance to support each other in their work and increase their confidence and self-esteem. The tasks are grouped in five steps (one each week), plus one orientation meeting at the beginning, to offer students the general information they need to use the platform.
The first Office InterActors course was implemented in autumn 2009 with international participation from five countries: Romania, Spain, Lithuania, France and Bulgaria. Tutors participating in the previous training session in Iasi facilitated these courses and worked with beneficiaries from universities, municipalities and organisations for the unemployed.
The second round of Office InterActors courses will ve delivered in spring 2010, again in international format which we hope to broaden as a result of the Office InterActors Integrated Training and International Conference in Iasi, February 2010. Those interested to participate in this round of courses please contact the partnership at www.officeinteractors.eu or at lucia.petrescu@euroed.ro by the end of March 2010.
Other sessions of Office InterActors courses can be organised with the help and support of the partnership. If interested please contact us at the www.officeinteractors.eu or at lucia.petrescu@euroed.ro
